He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie High and Vianna High; and his wife Louise "Cookie" Tubbs-High. He is survived by: his children, Larry High (Valerie), Sharon Thomas, David High (Joy), Bruce High, Benjamin Rainey (Aidrea) and Lisa Long (Hartford); and his siblings, Steve High, Willie High and Victoria Martin (Lewis). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (2135 Jefferson Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Calendar Highland Memorial Gardens (3115 18th Ave N, Bessemer, AL 35020).
