He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Fanning and Jack Fanning. He is survived by: his wife Janet Dale Landrum; his children, Andrew Fanning (Lora Lynn) and Katie Fanning Dixon (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Sam, Ian, Adam, Ellen, Willa, Mira, Finn Fanning, Frances, Molly and Emery Dixon; and his brother Jack Fanning (Pat).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Meadow Brook Baptist Church, Birmingham.
