He is survived by: his wife Linda Thompson; his children, George F. Thompson II and Leah Asencio (Eric); and his grandchildren, Zachary L. Thompson and Kiley M. Asencio.
A committal service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124).
