He was predeceased by: his parents, David Durward and Esther Durward; his wife Pat Durward; his siblings, David, Jr., Paul, Bradley Durward and Elsie Stelmach; and his daughter-in-law Anne Durward.
He is survived by: his sons, John and Michael (Melissa) of Birmingham.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (2 Xavier Cir, Birmingham, AL 35213). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the Forest Crest Cemetery (5730 US-78, Birmingham, AL 35210).
