James Arrington Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Arrington Jr. (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Fairfield, Alabama, who passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arrington and Lula Arrington; and his grandson Marlon A. Arrington, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Eugenia S. Arrington; and his children, Michael Shorter (Faye), Reginald Arrington (Mary), Marlon Arnez Arrington and Barbara Tripp Feagin. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Poole's Funeral Chapel (1501 7th Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35203). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
