He was predeceased by: his parents, Aressa Craig Roberson and Mack E. Roberson; and his sister Bernita R. Sawyer. He is survived by: his wife Linda Carroll Thompson; his children, James E. Roberson, Jr. (Niva), Shayla Roberson Aguillard (Travis) and Jemia Roberson Storey (Adrian); his brother Lawrence R. Roberson; his brother-in-law Melvin Sawyer, Sr.; his aunts, Larraine King, Mae Gladys Mealy (Lawrence) and Ellen Craig; and his grandchildren, Lia Brooke Roberson, Cadet James "Tre" Earnest Roberson, III, Tyson Jamelle Aguillard, Aiden Connor Storey, Ava Camille Roberson, Thompson James Aguillard, Talon Jacob Aguillard, Hampton Lee Storey, Lola James Storey, Langstyn Jaye Storey and Ellington Carroll Storey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
