“Dear Marjorie, Shana and Walker, Please accept my sincere condolences regarding Jay's death. It is trite but true that unreservedly giving oneself to loving someone the way that you did Jay exacts a price in sadness when we lose them. At Lafayette, he and I were close (his room was directly across the hall from mine) friends, growing up as young men. Later, when I visited him in Austin and when he came to Los Angeles, I appreciated who he'd become even more. I wish you peace. ~ Don Miller”
