He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Monteen Fortson. He is survived by: his wife Angela Fortson; his siblings, Deborah Wilson and David Fortson; his sons, Benjamin Royce Fortson and Evan Michael Fortson; his father Hubert Royce Fortson; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Nick and Regina Fortson.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church (5080 Cahaba Valley Trce, Birmingham, AL 35242).
