He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashley Lee Hogewood, Sr. and Dixie Duncan Hogewood. He is survived by: his wife Connie Mays Hogewood; his children, Mark Hogewood (Catherine Loflin Hogewood), Jay Hogewood (Karrie Gaspard Hogewood), Lynn Hogewood (Shannon Arledge) and Amy Todd Ferrell (Scott Ferrell); his grandchildren, Beck (Ida), Luke, Anna (Jackson), Mariah, Mary, Grayson, Garner, Brady, Addison, Emilee (Dylan) and Elizabeth; his brother Ashley Lee Hogewood, Jr. (Wanny Hogewood); and his sibling's children, Lee, Anne Hogewood, Hunter, Jamie Yavelberg Hogewood, Catherine and John Fowler.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wake Forest Fund of Wake Forest University, the Cumberland School of Law Academic Success Program, First Church Birmingham, UAB School of Nursing Scholarship Fund, or Mitchell's Place in Birmingham, Alabama, all in memory of Monty Hogewood.
