He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eugene "Pete" Talley and Linda Louise Hollingsworth; and his siblings, Dorothy Jean Jolley, Judy Carol Labram and Harold David Talley.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ray Talley; his children, Hoby Talley (Robyn), Wendy Gohde (Allan) and Tara Combs (John); his grandchildren, Hollie McReynolds (Kyle), Katie Sue Fleming (Jeremy), Haley Buzan (Tres), John P. Talley (Kat), Kelby Combs, Kaleb Combs and Jake Talley; his great grandchildren, Milo, Everett, Peyton, Jonah, McKenzie, Parker, Nash, Ella Sue and Pearce; and his siblings, Peggy Turner and Larry Talley.
