We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2024, at the age of 84, Joseph M. Morgan Sr. of Birmingham, Alabama, born in Piedmont, Alabama passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph M. Morgan Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his wife Harriette Hesse Morgan; his parents, Ilah McCord Morgan and Earl Sparks Morgan, Sr.; and his siblings, Barbara Morgan Thompson and Earl Sparks Morgan, Jr..

He is survived by : his children, Nancy Morgan Ludke (Kevin) and Joseph McCord Morgan, Jr.; his granddaughters, Caitlin Miller Foley, Mary Claire Miller Cox and Margaret Morgan Miller; and his nephew Joseph Charles Benson, Jr.. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Briarwood Presbyterian Church (2200 Briarwood Way, Birmingham, AL 35243). A reception was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Alabama.
