He is survived by: his wife Belinda Vargas; his children, Juan Alejandro Vargas (Sarah) and Paulette Alejandra Vargas Moore (Benjamin); his granddaughter Rosalind Alejandra Vargas; his siblings, María, Socorro Vargas Ríos (Armando), José Osbaldo Vargas Ríos (Lucy), Herminia Vargas Ríos, Pedro Vargas Ríos and Rosa María Vargas Ríos (Sergio); his cousin Carlos Ríos (Alejandra); his siblings-in-law, Iván Martinez (Aurora), Alicia Ibrahim Martinez (Adib), Uriel Martinez (Jessica) and Paulina Martínez; and his mother-in-law María Guadalupe Martínez. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
