With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn Newell (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on March 2, 2024 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Kathryn Wynn and Joseph McIntosh; her husband Neal Newell; her son Neal Curtis "Curt" Newell; and her sister Betty Jo Allen.

She is survived by: her daughter Kathy; her son-in-law Dr. Frank "Bubba" Brush; her son Joseph Newell; her children-in-law, Dr. Eric Collier and Sara Lynn Newell; her grandchildren, David Brush (Lisa), Kathryn Strubel (Patrick), Aren Williams (Jason), Brendt Blanks (Andy), Luke Newell (Katie) and Mattie Neal Newell; and her caregiver R. N.. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vestavia Hills Baptist Church.
