It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Garner Tanner of Birmingham, Alabama, born in Trussville, Alabama, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Robert Tanner; her parents, Clarence Garner and Mattie Garner; and her siblings, Albert Garner, Clarence Garner, Jr., Oliver Garner, Nellie Browning and Vivian Cosby.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph "Joey" Tanner (Cathy) and Lynn Landry (Joseph); her grandchildren, Christina Boothe (Billy), Aerial Scalf, Patrick Landry, Elliott Landry and Amanda Landry; and her great grandchildren, Kiera Boothe, Aubrey Scalf and Emma Scalf.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ridout's Trussville Chapel (1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
