Though Luthine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Luthine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse T. Reed. She is survived by: her daughter Mary Cofield (John); and her grandchildren, Jessica Cofield (Christian) and Cody Cofield. She is also survived by three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Ridout's Trussville Chapel (1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
