She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther William Barner and Martha Morrow Barner; and her sister Martee Barner Lanier Scott. She is survived by: her husband James Willoughby Wood; her sons, James Willoughby Wood, Jr. of Huntsville and Luther William Wood (Susan); and her grandchildren, Taylor Barner Wood of Jacksonville, Florida. and Windham Willoughby Wood of Jacksonville, Florida.. She is also survived by two nephews and five nieces.
