He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Jones; his daughters, Joylynne Treia Jones, Venisha Coleman, Maralyn Jackson (Matthew) and Latricia Michelle Jones; his grandchildren, Bridgette Simone Davis, David Coleman, III, Ethan Michael Guinn, Brittany Renee Coleman and Emory Mason Jackson; his great grandchildren, Loki Johnson and Nevaeh Johnson; his grandchildren, Dryxell Johnson and Tristan Charles Banks; and his siblings, Uawanna J. Day, Demetrice Poole, Alesia Reeves (James), Gregory Jones (Rhonda), Edgar Jones and Cedric Jones.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Services (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the George Washington Carver Memorial Gardens (1020 Minor Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35224).
