She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Jo Freeman and John O. Freeman; her grandmothers, Margaret Collins Ware and Annie Laurie Nolan; and her father-in-law Forrest L. Johnson.

She is survived by: her husband Jess Alan Johnson; her daughters, Corrie Johnson Hanns (Charlie), Megan Alana Johnson McCall (Jake) and Shari Marlynn Johnson; her grandchildren, Ellianna Johnson, Samuel Jake, Elisa Joy, Seth Alan, Shawn Owen McCall and Cailyn Michelle Hanns; her sisters, Laura Freeman Elledge and Lisa Freeman Crumley (Jim); her mother-in-law Loretta Maxine Johnson; her sisters-in-law, Connie Cary (Gene) and Sue Latta John (Randy); her stepbrother Brian Phillips (Misty); and also Neely Dison (Miika).
