He was predeceased by: his parents, John Martin McCayna and Irene Maud Sewell McCayna; and his sisters, Susanne McCayna Redgrave and Sally McCayna James. He is survived by: his sons, Martin McCayna and Daniel McCayna (Meagan); his wife Christine McCayna; his grandson John Michael; and his siblings, John McCayna, Joanne McCayna Payton and Marianne McCayna Barnett. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
