It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marzell Pope Lasseter in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on March 26, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Cecilia Clement; her great grandchild Ruby Mae Geiger; her parents, Charlie W. Pope and Sadie Pope (Williams); and her siblings, Bonnell Bouldin, Charles Pope and Billy G. Pope.

She is survived by: her children, Lana Lasseter Turner and Chip Lasseter (Joan); her siblings, Mary Lipham, Louise Green, Elaine Black (Julian) and Joe Pope (Pat); and her sister-in-law Doci Halsam. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
