He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Mandy Sears and Molly Morrow; his son-in-law Jason Sears; his sisters, Nancy Royal Helton and Anita Royal; and his grandsons, Drake Sears, Evan Morrow, Drew Sears and Drennen Sears.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church (5080 Cahaba Valley Trce, Birmingham, AL 35242). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (656 Roscoe Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).
Rather than flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Newnan, First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores, or to Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church in Birmingham.
