She was predeceased by: her parents, James Higgins and Linchie Drake; her husband Oscar Laws; and her son Roderick Laws. She is survived by: her son Steven Lee Laws; her grandchildren, Dorshay Laws, JaKorie Parker, Jamaka Parker, Talawren Simmon and Shayla Keaton; and her siblings, Hilda Crenshaw, Ophelia Erwin and Cleopus Higgins. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
