In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Oakley leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Oakley may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Juanita McGee Hicks; his parents, Jonas Jenkins Hicks and Versie Allman Hicks; his brothers, J. Hugh Hicks and Jonas Lee Hicks; his children, Beverly Hicks Burch (Reginald), Pamella Hicks Parker (Robert) and Charity Yvonne Hicks; and his son-in-law Reggie. He was also cherished by three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
