It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rene Leon Aguilar of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on November 23, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingo Aguilar and Lucy Aguilar; and his brother Lt. Colonel D. I. Aguilar. He is survived by: his sisters, Virginia Fields (George) and Carmen Brewer (Dale); his brother-in-law Robert L. Boothroyd; his daughters, Katrina Smith (Brian) and Roxane Roberts (Jeffrey); his granddaughters, Brooke Ratchford (Patrick), Hannah Russell (Curtis) and Elizabeth Robert; his great grandchildren, Braxton, Ryder Wilson, Rilyn Russell, EJ, Claire and Harper Ratchford; and his sisters, Rita Boothroyd, Lisa Rynes and Tina Matychak (Daniel).
