He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Barksdale and Ellen Barksdale; and his brothers, John Barksdale and Roy Barksdale. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Barksdale; his son Adam Barksdale (Erin); and his brother Paul Barksdale (Suzanne). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
