With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Gwin Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama, born in Bessemer, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 19, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge Robert W. Gwin and Harriett Wise Gwin; and his siblings, Ann Gwin Keith, Gay Gwin Fowler and David White Gwin.
He is survived by: his wife Grace D. Gwin; his son Gwin III (Trisha); his stepchildren, Patrick Duffey (Erin), Kelly Clem Andrews (Dave) and Paige E. Clem (Michael); and his grandchildren, Landon Gwin, Reid Gwin, Mia Gwin, Jackson Burke and Alex Segler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (3775 Crosshaven Dr, Vestavia Hills, AL 35223).
