He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Sims and Margaret Sims; his former wife Sherry Sims; and his grandson Pierce Lunsford. He is survived by: his family, New Orleans, Mardi Gras and Jimmy Buffett; his wife Jackie Sims; his children, Chris Sims (Tonja) and Leisa Lunsford (Tim); his stepchildren, Gary Brown (Rebecca), Lesli Fowler (John) and Lindsay Brown (Bobby); and his brother Kenneth Sims (Donna).
