With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Suzanne W Lucas (Birmingham, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nolan John Wehby and Ethel Abbott Wehby; her husband Al Lucas; her stepson Thomas W. Lucas; and her grandchildren, Stephen Chistopher Lucas, Carolee Taylor and Justin Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Mills Nesbitt, IV (Julie) and Suzanne Nesbitt (Lelie); her grandchildren, Thomas Mills Nesbitt V, Elise Faircloth Nesbitt and Alexander Pearce MacLeod; her children, Cathy Lucas, Alfred John Lucas (Laura), Mary Lucas Mercer (Richard), Winifred Lucas Martinez, Michael Joseph Lucas (Tina), Rev. William Lucas and Cecelia Lucas (Cece); and her grandchildren, Tommy Lucas, Chad Pitts (Maggie), Alan Lucas (Catherine), Bryan Lucas, Maretta Ashford (David), Catherine Agricola (Taylor), Allison Leaver (Ben), Abby LeGrone (Kirk), Lindsey Hilner (Jason) of Jessica Mercer, Will Martinez (Kat), Alex Martinez (Annie), Luke Martinez, Kyle Lucas (Sherry), Travis Lucas, Ryan Burrus (Nicole), Stephanie Wesson (Marcus) and Caitlyn Burrus. She is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren.
