With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Teruko Rucks (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on April 5, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Richard Rucks; her parents, Hiroshi Nakakura and Suma Nakakura; her parents-in-law, Edna and William Rucks; and her sisters, Masako Berry and Syoko Kuwakami.

She is survived by : her brothers, Michiko Ura, Takara Nakakura and Shuhei Nakakura; her sister-in-law Jeanette Hobbs of Robertsdale, AL; her nieces and nephews, Teresa Brooks (Barry), Harry Rucks (Tracey) and Robin Chambers; and her granddaughters, Angie Simon (Bryan), Haley Brooks, Mandy Duncan (Ace), Ally Bishop (Andy), Hannah Estes (Andy), Ellen Lathrop (Matt), Claudia Flynn (David) and Layne Rucks.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
