He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivie Channell and Grover Boone; and his sisters, Joyce Bradley and Carolyn Parker. He is survived by: his wife Linda Boone; his daughter Kim Bourgeois (David); his siblings, Starla Burrell (Rocky), Doug Channell (Deb) and Tim Channell (Terry); his grandchildren, Leslie Lentz (Colin) and Brian Bourgeois (Kendall); and his great grandchildren, Hensley Lentz, Heston Lentz, Hollis Lentz, Hudson Lentz and Hunter Lentz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
