She was predeceased by: her husband Carl W. E. Phillips; her sons, Earl and Timothy Phillips; her parents, TJ Loftin and Turci Loftin; and her siblings, Reba Brown, Herschel and Erskin Lofton.
She is survived by: her son Norman R. Phillips (Charlotte); her daughter-in-law Donna Phillips; and her grandchildren, Ashley Johnson (Phillip), Denise Merritt (Tony), Wendy Phillips and Donald Phillips (Angel). She is also survived by 4 great grand children and 4 great great grand children.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
