He is survived by: his wife Judy McKinney Johnsey; his children, Kimberly Johnsey Kelley (Shayne) of Denton, Texas and Walter Frank Johnsey Jr. (Laurie) of Athens, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Rocklyn, Kooper, Addison-Shayne Kelley, Pratt and Newton Johnsey; his siblings, Sandra Johnsey McGuire (Terry) and Lawrence Frank Johnsey Jr. (Grace); and his brothers-in-law, Randy McKinney (Betsy) and Jay McKinney (Chuck). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
