He was predeceased by: his grandparents, William and Mary Helms; his parents, Marvin Helms and Calle Belle Helms; and his brothers, John Frank Helms and Roy Joe Helms.
He is survived by: his sisters, DeAlvor Helms Grace of Poland, OH and Jeannette Helms Taul (Charles) of Pinson, AL; and his sister-in-law Frances Helms Henson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
