He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia Lowery Hiden; his father Samuel Earle Hiden; his siblings, Samuel Earle Hiden, Jr. (Nancy) of Andalusia, AL and Katherine Hiden Kettig (John) of Birmingham, AL; his children, William "Billy" Mudd Hiden, Jr. (Kate) of Birmingham, AL and Taylor Hiden Zoepfl (Eric) of Nashville, TN.; his grandchildren, Meyer Anne Hiden, William "Will" Mudd Hiden, III and Henry Joseph Zoepfl; and his pet Murphy.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St Mary's on the Highlands Episcopal Church (1910 12th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35205).
