He is survived by: his son Erick Whitt of Birmingham, AL; his siblings, Frank (Cynthia), Charles Simmons, Tommy Irby and Jesse Austin (Willie) of Birmingham, AL; and his close friend Charles Burgess. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins.
