He is survived by: his wife Nancy McDonald; his sister Cameron Vowell (Scott); his children, Maggie McDonald, Lucy Spratlin (Wade) and Will McDonald (Mary); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth McDonald, Andy Spratlin, Frances McDonald and William Spratlin.
