She was predeceased by: her grandson Joshua Maher; and her parents, Maggie VanAlphen and Troy Pounds. She is survived by: her husband Ben Maher; her children, Julie Dilaura (Mark) and Michael Maher (Michele); her grandchildren, Ryan Zayti, Sean Zayti and Amelia Maher; and her brothers, Donnie Pounds (Connie) and Ronnie VanAlphen (Angie). She is also survived by Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Etowah Memorial Chapel (12600 US-431, Sardis City, AL 35956). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Shepherds Cove Hospice.
