He was predeceased by: his son Lance Eugene Johnson; his parents, Pearlie C. Johnson and Joseph O. Johnson; and his siblings, Jimmy Johnson (Thelma), Billy Joe Johnson and Nevetta J. Clevenger.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dean Johnson; and his siblings, Willie Johnson (Jeanne), Ruby William, Barbara Naler and Judy Clevenger (Thomas). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
