He is survived by: his children, Tashia (Shane Phillips), Paige Smith, Stacey Smith and Theron Drake; his grandchildren, Madyson Katie-Gale Phillips, Beaux Kayson Phillips and Kristin Holdbrooks; and his sisters, Melba Costner of Bessemer and Nelline Sawyer of Bessemer.
