It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Tarvin of Boaz, Alabama, who passed away on September 8, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Tarvin and Pauline Tarvin; his siblings, Mary Jean Tarvin Brannon, James Lowell Tarvin, Bud Tarvin, Gerald Tarvin and Wayne Tarvin; and his father-in-law Bedford Greer.

He is survived by: his wife Kendra Greer Tarvin; his sons, Steve Tarvin (Brandy) and Chris Tarvin (Melissa); his grandchildren, Caleb, Hunter, Derek, Anna Claire Tarvin and Trey Knott; his friend Eli Thorne; his sisters, Martha Umphrey (Frank), Elizabeth Fielder (Gerald), Jane Moore (Tommy) and Kathy Roberson (Ray); his mother-in-law Doris Greer; and his siblings-in-law, Jo Tarvin, Sharron Tarvin, Karleene Greer, Kenneth Greer (Sherry) and Kyle Greer (Myra).

We served together in Vietnam and he became one of my closest friends We talked for hours about our home town and felt like i knew all about Boaz. I am so sorry I never made the trip to Boaz.
