He was predeceased by : his parents, Roger McWhorter and Frances Mae Whisenant; and his son Christopher Davies. He is survived by : his sons, Eric Davies (Alicia) and Damion Davies; and his siblings, Fonda Clough (Mark), Richard Davies, Jerry Davies (Wanda), Deborah Horton (Oscar), Donna Duke, Diane Heaton (Eddie) and Dedra Simpson (Pat). He is also survived by his six grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Adams Brown Service Funeral Home (6906 US-431, Albertville, AL 35950). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
