He was predeceased by: his son Johnny Martin; his parents, William Martin and Dovie Martin; and his brother James Martin. He is survived by: his children, Mike Martin, Jim Martin (Tammie) and Sharon Mathews (Henry); and his sister Sybil Hammonds. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
