He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Clanton and Nettie Clanton; and his siblings, James Clanton, Marston Clanton, Nellie Ruth Carroll and Ann Batson.
He is survived by: his adoptive children, Crystal Clanton Bolt (Nathan) and John Jeffery Clanton; his grandson Alexander Bolt; and his siblings, Delmus Clanton (Georgia), Jean Cooper and Linda Dunn (Jerry) of Boaz, Alabama. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union FCM Cemetery (262 Double Bridges Rd, Boaz, AL 35957).
