He is survived by: his children, Brent Rains (Gaye), Sandra Decker (Blaine) and Ealaine Dodd (Steven); his sister Christine Staton; his grandchildren, Eric Tidwell, Damion Noblitt (Gidget), Daniel Henderson, Brandi Hallcox (Chad), Jessica Sheffey (Kevin), Justin Rains (Jennifer) and Hannah Lucas (Jonathon); his great grandchildren, Heatherly Pollard (Bradley), Jericho Butts (Corey), Charlie Blair Hallcox, Erica Tidwell, Kelly Sheffey, Braylon Noblitt, Kendyll Sheffey, Caroline Rains, Harrison Rains and Mason Rains; his great great grandchildren, Hudson and Hayden Pollard; and his caregivers, Nichole Sowell and Kaitlyn Rowe.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Brown Service Funeral Home (6906 US-431, Albertville, AL 35950). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the Marshall Memorial Gardens.
