He was predeceased by : his wife Helen Gray Griggs; his parents, Wiley C Griggs and Lillian Lloyd Griggs; his grandparents, Maggie and Wiley Griggs; and his siblings, Barbara Ann Dixon, Sheryl Griggs, Janet Cook, Maurice Griggs and Brian Griggs.

He is survived by : his siblings, Robert Griggs (Lisa), James Griggs, Eugene Griggs (Betty), Wiley Griggs, Marty Griggs and Charlene Ardis; and his children, Carl Griggs, Caston Griggs, Joey Griggs and Donna Griggs. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
