He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George, Sr. Hughey and Gertrude Hughey; his wife Barbara; his children, Matt Hughey (Kristie) and Holly Goff (Josh); his grandchildren, Baylor Hughey, Barrett Hughey, Max Goff and Merritt Goff; and his sister Sammye.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brent Baptist Church (2446 Main St, Brent, AL 35034). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
