It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Daniel Russell of Brent, Alabama, who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Julian Russell and Sally Russell; his wife Denise Thompson Russell; his children, Lydia Russell Fikes (Philip) and John Daniel Russell, Jr. (Bess); his grandchildren, Isaac Russell (Allie), Grace Ann Fikes Lockridge (Casen), Rachel Russell López (William), Tom Fikes and Miriam Russell; his great grandchildren, Jacob Russell, Oliver Russell and Luke López; and his sister Judy Russell Croft. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International or Bethel Baptist Mission fund.
