He is survived by: his children, Johnny Abernathy (Ellen) of Princeton, Ray Abernathy (Tonya) of Buffalo, Willie Frank Moore (Linda) of Athens, Alabama, Tracy Belcher of Youngstown and JoAnn Toby (Arthur) of Brent, Alabama; his siblings, Charles Moore of Birmingham, Alabama and Mildred Reio (Greg) of St. Petersburg, Florida; his sister-in-law Mary Moore; and his close friend Louise Griffin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cahaba Memorial (100 Patridge Rd, Brent, AL 35034). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
