It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Carter of Brewton, Alabama, who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Carter and Carley Shipp Carter; and his siblings, Marvis Ward, Elsie Reynolds, Aubrey and Mack Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jones Carter of Brewton, Alabama; his children, Jeff Carter of Madison, WI, Stephanie Scott (Russell) of Brewton, AL and Daphne Kleiner (John) of Jay, FL.; his brother Cecil H. Carter (Pat) of Brewton; his grandchildren, Tiffany Knowles (Lee), Jacob Scott of Brewton, Zachery Gardner of Ft. Smith and Justin Gardner (Catherine) of Carlisle, PA.; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Mattie, Carter Knowles, Thomas, Gage Scot, Neil, Raegan and Charlee Gardner.
