She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Grimes; her son Michael Grimes; her granddaughter Natalie Danielle Grimes McCall; and her parents, Houston Hughes and Hettie Snell Hughes.
She is survived by: her brother Sterling Hughes (Shirley); her grandchildren, Hillary Rose, Brewer Grimes and Christian Grimes; and her caregiver Jennifer Howard Lazzaro. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home (2353 South Blvd, Brewton, AL 36426). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Union Cemetery (100 Cemetery Rd, Brewton, AL 36426).
